We have all experienced the difficulties faced when as professionals we are advising people to incorporate into their lives services of support. Be that for home care, access to community services or residential care placement – the way forward can be daunting. Many people manage this decision making but most with anxiety and lack of awareness of the options truly available to them. Some seem unable to move forward. All of this is occurring usually when people are under great stress from negative health or lifestyle changes.
33 years of Nursing experience in management roles in Aged, Palliative, Mental Health & Community Care culminate to enable me to offer reliable information, support and advice.
My aim is to reduce stress for all involved (consumers and professionals), to intervene early to reduce further health complications and provide holistic support to all who are directly involved. It is important to me to assist with confident decision making based on appropriate-to-the-needs-of-that-specific-situation problem solving. At the end of the day I want to see people who can once again maximise their enjoyment of life, no matter what their circumstances.
